Volunteer Description:

 TheSocial Media Intern will work with the Alliance Health Clinic to produce written materials, enhancing the overall quality of our program services, marketing, and outreach. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in writing, research, current events, and social media. Our ideal candidate is passionate about improving the health care opportunities for low-income residents of San Diego.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research relevant content for Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/other written materials relevant to the mission of Alliance for African Assistance and Alliance Health Clinic

• Create Facebook, Instagram, Twitter posts as needed

• Online outreach to relevant community organizations and community members

 

Requirements:

COMMITMENT:

The position requires a minimum 3 month commitment for 2-6 hours per week.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent command of written English including: grammar, sentence construction, paragraph flow, etc
• Excellent proof reading skills, detail oriented, and organized
• Familiarity with social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Blogs, Flickr,) and MS Word, Publisher, Power Point
• Punctual and reliable, with reliable means of transportation
