Volunteer Description:

By helping to facilitate the smooth functioning of the agency’s Finance Department, the Accounting volunteer will play a vital role in ensuring that the refugees we resettle receive quality services in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Complete journal entry transactions
• Verify accounts payable
• Assisting with preparation for auditing
• Data entries into Sage, financial software
• Filing and support for additional projects as needed

Requirements:

 COMMITMENT:

Preferred minimum time commitment of 3-6 months for 4-8 hours per week.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Well experienced in office administrative work
• Familiarity with accounting software preferred
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Excellent communication skills
