Position: Full Time

Description of Duties Performed

As Transportation and Home Care Coordinator:

• Develop a diversified outreach/marketing strategy to include online, over the phone, and in person business development to gain and maintain Home Care and Transportation customers.
• Gather all documents needed for licensing, partnerships, contracting, etc. as needed
• Conduct home visits and quality control surveys with potential and new Home Care clients.
• Recruit caregivers and assist with onboarding process and licensing compliance
• Train caregivers and each classes on care-giving skills

As Utility Advocacy Coordinator:

• Call utility companies on behalf of the client, resolve their bill issues/disputes, and find every discount and incorrect charge possible on their client’s bills to ensure they are paying a fair amount on their bills.
• Community outreach and seek partnerships with organizations to find potential clients.
• Attend community events to educate and outreach to potential clients.
• Teach empowerment-based workshops on consumer rights and community programs available
• Case Management - Handle a high case load, including frequent drop-in requests, and fill out thorough case notes needed for monthly reporting and invoicing.


• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communication, Market-ing, Conflict Resolution, or Education preferred.
• Must be an excellent public speaker that enjoys speaking to large crowds, networking, and outreach.
• Must have an excellent phone demeanor and present themselves professionally in business meetings.
• Knowledge of San Diego, where and how to do outreach in this community.
• Proven ability to close sales and market services.
• Experience working effectively with little supervision.
• Detailed, thorough, and deadline oriented.
• A passion for serving refugees, immigrants, seniors, and limited English proficient individuals and other often marginalized and underserved groups.
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, and work in a goal-oriented team.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and working with databases.
• Excellent English writing ability.
• Bilingual in Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, or other major language is a plus, but not required.
